- Can be designed for higher temperatures and pressures than the pre-engineered exchangers.
Hairpin Heat Exchangers
- These exchangers provide true counter-current flow and are especially suitable for extreme temperature crossing, high pressure, high temperature, and low to moderate surface area requirements.
- Available in single tube (Double Pipe) and multiple tubes within a hairpin shell (Multitube), bare tubes, finned tubes, straight tubes, U-tubes, fixed tubesheets and removable bundles.
- Can be designed for full vacuum, or to over 14,000 psig.
Plate & Frame Heat Exchangers
- Gasketed Plate and Frame heat exchangers provide more heat transfer in less space.
- Plate & Frame exchangers can perform with 1/3 the surface area required in a Shell & Tube.
- Plate & Frame Exchangers offer “true” countercurrent flow maximizing the mean temperature difference between fluids.
- Less expensive than S&T in most applications.
- Can be disassembled and cleaned for re-use.
- Several plate and gasket materials are available.
Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers
- Brazed Plate heat exchangers offer the highest level of thermal efficiency and durability in a compact, low cost unit.
- 1/6th the size, 1/5th the weight, 1/8th the volume, 1/3rd -1/5th the area compared to a Shell & Tube.
- Up to 500 gpm max flow.
- 435 psig standard design pressure at -310/450o
- 316L SS plate material w/ Copper or Nickel brazing material.
- Several connection types and mounting options available.
Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers
- For use when no cooling liquid is available or practical.
- These range from small packaged units like Standard Xchange Airex and Fanex, or large custom designed modular units.
Fluoropolymer Heat Exchangers
- Fluorpolymer Shell & Tube heat exchangers that utilize chemically inert materials like FEP and PFA to provide heating, cooling, condensing and evaporating corrosive liquids and gases. These exchangers surpass metal, graphite and glass alternatives by resisting harsh chemicals and avoiding failures from thermal or mechanical shock. Braided tubing bundles, fused ends and proprietary honeycomb process ensure efficient heat transfer, a compact design and extended service life.
- Reactor Coil Heat Exchangers are made of loose bundles of corrosion-resistant fluoropolymer tubes and are ideal for crystallizer applications. The heat exchanger is most efficient when agitated in the process solution. During agitation, the flexing action of the coils helps reduce fouling and dislodges deposits that may have formed. This action helps maintain heat transfer efficiency and increases lifetime value.
- Immersion Coils are ideally suited for almost all metal plating and pickling applications. The fluoropolymer tubes are non-conductive, chemically inert, flexible and tough. They are easy to install and remove and, if repairs are required, they can be done by the customer at his plant without any special procedures or tools.
Tank Heaters
- Include U-Tube, Stab-In, Flat Bottom Coild, Helical Coils, in both plain and finned tubes.
- Most coils pass through 20 in. manways but could be modified to different sizes based on application.
